Hang on to Your Dreams

Marc Anderson

I bought my first dream car in December of 1970 (’71 450/454 steel city gray) while I was a pilot in the Air Force. While the car didn’t go quite as fast as my jet (and believe me I tried) the cockpit sure made it feel as though it could. Gas was 20 cents a gallon. Life was good! Then the kids came along, I got out of the service and moved to Minnesota, gas went over a dollar and the wife said she wanted her car to go in the garage.

So bye bye dream car hello station wagon. The dream stayed with me. I’m 74 now and retired and opportunity came knocking. I am now the proud owner of 2015 Stingray Coupe and the adrenaline is pumping again. Too bad gas is over 3 dollars a gallon. Hopefully I’ll have enough good driving years left in me to enjoy the car. Hang on to your dreams!
